Allure Plastic Surgery
Chemical peels are one of the simplest, most affordable ways to keep your skin looking its best.
Before & After

A chemical peel removes damaged outer skin layers. This smooths texture, clears blemishes, and reduces pre-cancerous growths and scarring. The result is healthier, brighter skin. It is one of the least invasive ways to refresh the skin, and it works for most patients.
At our Allure Plastic Surgery office in New York, peels treat wrinkles and fine lines, sun-damaged skin, uneven pigmentation, acne scars, scarring, age spots, and freckling. Patients with acne, sun damage, and fine lines benefit most. Best results come after a series of peels designed for your skin and how it changes over time.
Our chemical peel procedures are one of the most wonderful way to produce a subtle and visibly healthier look with zero risks involved. At Allure Plastic Surgery, we recommend chemical peels to any patient who is looking to start a new skincare regimen, maintain healthy skin, or simply prolong their results after a procedure. Skin
Chemical peels are grouped by depth and by the strength of the solution used. At Allure Plastic Surgery, every peel is performed by an experienced and certified medical aesthetician. The process runs in steps. First we choose the peel that fits your skin care goals. The skin is prepared with dermaplaning or an enzyme mask so the solution can penetrate. The chemical agent is then applied to exfoliate the skin. After a set time the agent is neutralized and washed off, and sunblock and topical healing agents are applied. Over the next few days the top layers heal, leaving smoother, more evenly colored skin.
Light chemical peels exfoliate the upper layer of skin cells with little downtime, leaving a smoother, brighter complexion. Common agents for superficial peels include salicylic acid, Jessner’s solution, and glycolic acid. The more superficial the peel, the smaller the correction and the lower the risk of complications. We perform light peels with a power peel (microdermabrasion), which polishes the skin with fine crystals, or with glycolic acid. Results improve with each visit. A series of 8 to 10 light peels noticeably improves pores and tone.
Medium depth peels generally combine 35% trichloracetic acid and Jessner’s solution. They suit patients with more fine lines and brown spots and severe sun damage. Deeper peels need more downtime but improve texture, pigmentation, tone, and fine lines.
Our TCA and Jessner’s peels work at medium depth to reduce fine lines, mild scarring, and damage. We perform them in our offices without anesthesia. A single application heals within 5 days.
Chemical peels increase your own collagen production, which carries long-term benefits. We help you maintain your results and decide which depth suits your skin type. Call (866) 477-2023 or contact us online to learn more about our skin care options. Allure Plastic Surgery uses only medical-grade product lines. A regular peel appointment helps you hold the complexion your series achieves. Peels also make a useful add-on to a facelift procedure.
Peel Types
Jessner’s is a versatile peel and a favorite among dermatologists. The solution combines 14% salicylic acid, 14% lactic acid, and a resorcinol solvent. It is strong and effective.
Beyond facial rejuvenation, we use the Jessner’s peel to treat acne, lighten hyperpigmentation, and address aging skin, acne scarring, and photo damage. We apply the solution until a white frost develops, which usually takes four to six coats.
On first contact you may feel a temporary numbing and stinging sensation, along with mild skin sensitivity and light to moderate redness. It does not require anesthesia.
After a couple of days the upper layer of skin flakes and peels away, revealing smoother, clearer skin. Jessner’s is an ongoing treatment that delivers results with regular use. We often advise patients to repeat it monthly until they reach their goal.
Peel Types
A trichloracetic acid (TCA) peel is a medium strength peel that repairs and renews the skin. It evens and brightens tone by removing pre-cancerous areas, repairing sun-damaged cells, and stimulating collagen for a healthier complexion.
Their deep exfoliating action also clears congested pores. TCA peels are used on the back of the hands, the neck, and the face. They make the skin peel physically, so they require about a week of downtime.

Chemical peel procedures remove damaged outer skin layers to smooth texture, remove blemishes and reduce pre-cancerous growths and scarring, thereby producing glowing, healthy skin.
